Is there a way I can manually mark a book as read? There are some books that I read a long time ago that aren't marked. Other books I have read apart from the lengthy indexes, but they only show as part read.

I just started to really investigate the feature, and I'm coming to the same conclusion as far as accuracy. I see some books that I know I just touched the surface of, but it is showing as not read at all. Others, such as the KJV, I have read cover to cover several times (in Logos), and it is showing as 85%.
I revise my statement of it being a useful feature. It would be very useful IF it was accurate, [:)]
I think that a check box (for Read) would be good also. That would give us control over the status.

It has joined the ranks of Most Used and Last Accessed as being quite forgettable.
With the addition of the option to mark a book as finished, I think it would be a useful feature.
I'm not at home to try it at the moment, but I presume a book can be marked as partially read (at least the pale circle) simply by opening it and looking at a few pages.
I currently use ratings to mark books as (1) hope to read, (2) dabbled and (3) finished. It would be nice free up a couple of these options for other things.
It would be nice if it worked better AND if it connected with Goodreads.

And I had high hopes for it.
I will have to continue to use my own "mytag" system for "ToBeRead"; "Finished" etc.
I am now going to uncheck this option.
