    Hi Kevin!

I'm sorry but it doesn't fix it. The problem is worse. I have a Samsung Note 2 with Android 4.4.2. Every time I turn on the phone and open Logos it asks me to log in. Since 4.4.6 I log in several times with the correct log in information and it keeps asking me to log in - as many as 6 times in a row. Only after "logging in" with the incorrect information does it give me a message of invalid log in info. It will let me in then the next time I key in the correct log in info. I've done several reboots of the phone to test it and always the same result - fresh log in request followed by multiple log in requests. My understanding is that once logged in on the device Logos should not log me out. But every time I turn of the phone it does.

I performed a total uninstall/reinstall of 4.4.6 and numerous restarts/reboots to verify, and it does appear to be fixed.  Thanks so much.

Please delete the app from your device and perform a fresh install.

Been there, done that, wore the T-shirt. After reinstalling the app still requires sign-in after each rebooting of the phone and sometimes requires 2. Definitely not fixed.

For what it's worth, I had the same problem with Verbum 4.4.6 on my Boyue T62 device. I installed the Bible! 4.4.6 app and that seemed to fix the problem for Verbum as well.

I'm glad that worked for you, Mark. It didn't for me and I've sent the logs last week. I'm lucky if my Samsung Note 2 only asks me for a 2 x login. Not infrequently I need 4 x login or even 6 x login (twice).

I confess to getting extremely frustrated with Logos.

My iOS 8 device asks me to update the same 9 resources every time I open the app - so several times a day.

My iOS 6 device is unusable after multiple reinstalls and even 2 factory resets of the device itself. Nothing stops the freezing and crashing. I sure hope I can have a stable version before Logos stops support for iOS6.

My iMac and MacBook Pro frequently treat me to spinning beachballs when I click on my library button - to such an extent that I have to force quit and relaunch because it freezes. I know it's not the time of the year to play with beachballs as freezing is the operative word but I really try to avoid it.

I no longer know what to say about Logos but my frustration level has risen to such a pitch over the last month that I have started to research other applications.

What version are you running, 4.4.1?

What is the model of your device (under iOS Settings > General)?

Please report this on one of the Logos Desktop forums (Logos 5, Logos 6, etc.)

    Hi Kevin!

iOS8 (iPad Air) appears to be okay now after installing latest update today.

    iOS6 is iPod 4. Model MC544BT/A running version 6.1.6

We're not seeing any lockups or freezing issues with our iPod 4 test device running iOS 6.1.6.

How many resources do you have downloaded locally?

    Hi Kevin!

The problem is not related to the number of resources downloaded as I've had the problem with large and small volumes of resources downloaded. At the moment - latest install - there are only about 20 or 30. I reinstalled the app last night and just downloaded a small number of resources to test it. Crashed on me several times last night and this morning. I did have several hundred resources on it before. Though I would like to have the library secured on it before support is withdrawn it is not hugely important as I still have the iPad and the Samsung Note 2 phone for portability. When I bought the device I bought it specifically for Logos so it was dedicated for that purpose. Becoming incapable of running it defeats it's raison d'être, so to speak, but I can dedicate it to another purpose and retire it from Logos if need be.

We've seen crash problems in the past with iOS 5.x devices *during the resource download process* especially for customers that want a lot of their resources to be downloaded.  It has nothing to do with the number of resources downloaded, but is about how many resources are being downloaded at a time, and this can result in iOS out of memory crashes.

If you've previously had hundreds of resources downloaded, mobile management might likely be re-downloading all of those resources unless you've cleared out the list in Logos Desktop.  I'm not saying this is the issue but it seems likely.

Incidentally, we'll be fixing the discolored button problem on iOS 6.x devices, probably early next year (we couldn't get the fix in this week because the Apple Store will be closing and we had to submit version 4.4.2).

Hi again, Kevin. At the time of your last post my iPod was frozen/crashing. I.e. Whenever I attempted to open the app it would open at the last resource I was trying to open and just give a spinning daisy wheel until it crashed. That's as far as I could get with the app. I couldn't even get to the home page or library page. Repeated frozen with spinning daisy wheel until crash. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app since. I've also deleted other apps on the device that might be using up memory by constantly accessing the Internet. So I've disabled email accounts, uninstalled Dropbox, etc. My first attempt to open a resource - the Holman Christian Standard Bible - resulted in a white screen, spinning daisy wheel until crash. I'm not able to get any other result when I open the app so it will have to be uninstalled again.

I have done 2 factory resets but none since the latest update. I'm wondering if I should do another and set it up as a new device under a new Apple ID? My reason for asking is that the new installs are coming directly from iCloud rather than the App Store. If a corrupted version is backed up and the reinstall is coming from a back-up stored in the "cloud" could I be just reinstalling a corrupted version? Forgive me if this is a stupid question as I'm technologically challenged. Like a car I can operate the technology but not fix it.

As I mentioned before, I'd like to have Logos running on my iPod but it is not the end of the world if it doesn't. The iPod is heading towards obsolescence unable to to run anything newer than iOS6. My portability is covered by my Samsung Note 2 and my iPad.

    Blessings

Please remove the apps and install them fresh from the Apple Store and let us know if that solves the issue - the new 4.4.2 version is available.

Installed the stable version of the software on Dec. 31 and it still requires two logins. Using Android 4.4.2

I have reinstalled my app on my android tablet and it still requires me to login.  I have figured out that if I stop all running apps and clear my ram, I don't have to login problem until I try to open it again (I tend to clean my ram out often).

Does deleting the Faithlife account on your phone through Android's Account Manager do anything to resolve this issue?

It's possible that you might be required to log in 2 or more times the first time you launch the app after deleting the account. My hope is that this will recreate the shared account correctly and you won't be prompted to log in in subsequent app launches.

You can get to your Faithlife account through Settings (Android settings) > Accounts.

If you're still prompted to log in in subsequent launches, can you please send your logs through the "Help > Send Support Info" menu within the apps?

I've already reinstalled the app and it didn't work hen I was told it would. I've subsequently sent the logs to you. I'm not prepared to do it again. The time investment and Internet costs for downloading again are too high and I've had enough of that in recent months.

You won't lose any data removing your faithlife account from your device. The warning message you see relates to any data stored using the Android sync framework. We are only using the sync framework to store auth token that all of the Faithlife apps use to sing in. Everything else, including your documents and resources, are stored privately within the apps data folders.

I recorded the steps on a Generic Android 4.4 device in the video below.

I am so fed up of having to log in at least twice (sometimes up to 6 times) just to access the app.  I have reported it twice but no one has got back to me by email as promised on the website.  For some reason if your device is online it insists you have to log in - the cancel button is there but greyed out and therefore inoperable.  This is so tedious.  Previous versions of the app didn't do this so why is it doing this now and why is no one doing anything to fix it in any updates?

Hi Carol! I resolved this issue by downloading Vyrso and logging in using my logos username and password. That seems to fix the multiple login requests on the Logos app. I then removed Vyrso from my Android phone. Logos has worked fine since. There's no need to download your resources on to Vyrso - just download the free app, log in and see if it works.
