My Bible reading plan for 2015

This year I have almost read through the books of the bible in alphabetical order.

So my thoughts turn to my reading plan for 2015

I want to spend more time in the New Testament and slow it down somewhat.

If I read 5 chapters a week I will read through the New Testament in a year.

I Intend to read in 5 different translations

So my plan could look like this.

Monday Chapters 1-5 in NASB

Tuesday Chapters 1-5 in ESV

Wednesday Chapters 1-5 in NRSV

Thursday Chapters 1-5 in NIV 2011

Friday Chapters 1-5 in REB.

I will be journaling my thoughts as I go.

Yeah I was going to say combine the different translations on one day via a parallel comparison.

I'm going to do something different in 2015 than I have in previous years.

1st, I will read the entire bible in chronological order in 6 months (I haven't decided on a translation yet).

2nd, I will join our church in the 90 day bible reading plan (somewhere around July).

3rd, I will do a 3 month focused study/reading (I haven't decided on the topic yet).

This is a timely thread as, like many, I too am thinking about how I want to read the Bible this year. I have been reading the NA 28 through every year as well as choosing a different translation of the whole Bible. I've not yet decided which version to read but I'm considering the REB, the NEB or the LEB. Any suggestions as to which I should choose first?

How are you going to read the Bible in 2015?

Last time I read the Bible in a year I used three versions.
Old Testament: KJV and the NASB - Hebrew Text. Appostles Bible - Greek Text [LXX]
New Testament: KJV - TR text, NASB - NU text, and Appostles Bible - Majority Text

That way I saw, as far as an English translation could show, the differences between the different basic texts. Marked every difference and am still using the notes from that readings as a source of some of my studies so I will not be reading the Bible in a year again anytime soon.
