I did notice, however, that (like the Verse of the Day), these quotations are formatted as prose even when they were originally written as lines of poetry. I maintain that poetic line breaks should be respected as such. [;)]

Did you report it as a typo? It is often a mistake that will be fixed.

Reading through this resource, I find that the quotations are often formatted as poetry when given in full as quotations and excerpted in prose on the slides. This seems to me a reasonable behaviour. Is this what you are referring to?
