Is it easily possible to create one reading plan for a multivolume work in Logos 6?
I am interested in this also.
It looks like the DIY Bible Study is making use of this somehow, but I haven't had time to play around with it yet.
Also interested!
Haven't tried it yet but I think the new custom reading plan option in logos 6 should do the job.
Yes it can
How easy it will be depends on exactly what is required
Philip - can you expand on what you are looking to do?
Do you want - for example - to have a plan for a series which will take you through volume 1, volume 2, etc?
Or do you want it to include multiple volumes each day?
I would be interested in learning to do this as well. I would ideally like to do two things:
1.) Create a plan for a series that takes me through volume 1, volume 2, etc. as you suggest, above.
2.) I think if I can get #1 figured out, I could create a custom plan to go through multiple series per day (which is not what you were asking above, I realize). Thus, if I could get a plan to take me, say, through the Church Fathers and another plan to take me through the Harvard Classics or whatever, volume by volume, I could make a custom plan that would present me with the readings from both series every day. That part of the setup seems pretty intuitive to me--but setting up the initial plans to walk me through the series without having to painstakingly decide exactly what portion I'm reading every day is where I am coming up short.
For this I would create individual plans - one for volume 1, another for volume 2 etc
For volume 1 I would select a start date, reading frequency, etc which would define the end date.
For volume 2 I would do the same with the start date based on the end date from volume 1
I would then repeat until I had finished.
Does this give you what you want or am I missing something?
