Using Logos 6 (Verbum) I have highlighted every occurrence of 'hagios' and its inflected forms. How can I remove this highlighting?

How did you highlight?
If using a visual filter you could disable / delete the visual filter?
If you have highlighted them manually and all the highlights are in a single notes document - and nothing else is in it - you could delete the notes document
If neither of those two cases apply it gets a bit more tricky!
Assuming you have always used the same highlight you can search for that highlight and hagios which will give you a list of all verses with the highlight.
Then I think you will need to access each search result and remove the annotation in the resource itself
Or it's possible that you did a search that found all occurrences of 'hagios' and its inflected forms, in which case these will all be highlighted temporarily (a light orange color, like on "your holy" and "Holy Spirit" in Graham's screenshot above, which normally doesn't look like your other highlights), but as soon as you close the Search panel, or run a different search from it, those will go away.
EDIT:
Graham, it's odd that the second search highlight in your screenshot covers "e Holy Spirit" rather than "Holy Spirit" -- can you figure out why it starts partway through a word, and if that's a bug, report it as such?

Hi Rosie
It was just careless highlighting on my part - the actual text I highlighted to test this did start with the trailing "e"
My search actually will just find verses which contain both terms (even if they the highlight isn't over the particular term) so there may be some false hits but I couldn't easily figure out how to refine it

How can I remove this highlighting?
If highlighting was done using a palette, then highlight is in a note file:
For Isaiah 6:3, the "Holy, Holy, Holy" highlighting disappears when Inductive or Notes is unchecked.

Hi, I'm really stuck. I cannot remove previous search highlights. I've done everything you said but every instance of "is" is highlighted in orange and every instance of "love" is highlighted in blue. It's distracting to read the text. Please help.
Thanks
Hi Mike - and welcome to the forums
This is an old thread and what you are seeing may be different
Do you still have search windows open for those terms? If so, closing them will remove the search highlights.
If that doesn't address it please start a new thread and provide as many details as possible
Isn't there just some simple method to remove highlights, with a simple click? I have highlights in all my books which I can't even recall that I actually made them. I have sent emails and made phone calls to Logos about this problem, but never get the problem solved. I usually get put on hold or the phone disconnects. This stuff has been on my computer for years now. Today, I simply clicked a word to search it and for some reason it highlighted automatically in brown but refuses to unhighlight no matter what I try. This a complex feature of Logos that needs to be simplified for those who just want to study the bible but lack the advantage of being computer technicians

Have tried closing Search tab ?
When a search tab is open with results, then those results are highlighted. Closing Search tab (OR changing Search to different resource) causes highlighting to disappear.
There are no open searches that I'm aware of. This is how it works for example: the word "the" in a particular book is not highlighted for about 20 pages, then all of a sudden every "the" is highlighted in blue for about 2 pages, then it it will go unhighlighted for maybe 50 pages, then start highlighting again, then unhighlighting sporadically throughout the book. This is a principle that I find in most books. Some books I haven't seen it as yet.

Have you looked at Visual Filters (the three dot icon) in the resource. Untick things like Community Notes, Corresponding Words, Notes and Highlights, Corresponding Notes and Highlights, and Visual Filters.

One possibility is "Corresponding Words - Same surface text" being checked. While scrolling, accidental click of "the" turns on highlighting for "the" with subsequent scrolling click of white space turning off highlighting:
This happened to me when I was exploring with a Logos training vid and had checked/activated the Explore Active Lemmas option under Corresponding Words as a Visual Filter. Unchecking the box removed all the unwanted highlights on repeated words. Check it out. Or rather, un-check it.
Hey “Keep smiling for Jesus”(AMEN!). I don’t know when you posted your above post about removing unwanted highlights on the Logos desktop app - but THANK YOU. Your advice to close the searches (which I had many open) worked. Immediately the UNWANTED and almost virus like spreading of highlights all disappeared. Lol. I have been searching the internet for hours trying to figure out how to delete these unwanted things. Wow. Thank you and may Jesus continue to bless you and your family.
