Reading Plans not syncing from Logos 6 on Mac to iOS devices
I am having a frustrating time with syncing reading plans to my iPad and iPhone. I am using iOS Logos 4.3.7.
In Logos 6, I created ten reading plans (based on Horner’s Bible reading system). These were not created using the “Custom Plans” option, which I know is not supported on iOS yet.
I made sure Logos 6 had synced and went to my iPad. I checked the Bible! app, but no reading plans. I forced quit the app, looked again—no reading plans. I shut the iPad off and restarted. No reading plans.
I checked documents.logos.com and saw that the reading plans had made it to the cloud.
Decided to experiment. Created a reading plan on the iPad. Checked Logos 6—it had immediately synced to the Mac.
Deleted the iPad-created reading plan from Logos 6 on the Mac. Check iPad Bible! app—it disappeared as I was looking at it.
So, iPad created reading plans sync from the iPad to Logos 6 and back again. But not vice-versa.
Any ideas?

Did you use the chapter alignment option in the reading plan? If so, I believe reading plans with that feature are not currently supported.

Yes, I did. I suspected that might be the case. I switched one of the reading plans back to default, but it still didn't sync, so I was hoping that it might have been something else...but maybe the plan has to be made from scratch as default to sync properly.

Did the reading plan document sync to the iOS, or did you think to check?
That is how I checked—I don't use the home page that often.

Same problem. I have a new one created in Logos 6 that won't sync to iOS or Android.

I've installed the Logos 6 Extended Crossgrade.

What kind of reading plan - predefined, custom, etc.?

It was a custom plan that was created with pericope. I understand that the mobile apps don't include this feature now since I also posted in the Android forum since they didn't show up in either app.

I hope they get this fixed soon, especially with the new year on the horizon. I'm having to go to my mac to figure what the daily scriptures are, read those within the comforts of my armchair and Ipad, and then return to the Mac to mark complete. The "sacrifice" sounds petty :-) but it would be nice to have it work as it should.

What's the trick to creating a custom reading plan that does sync properly from Logos 6?

I think if you don't make it chapter-based or use any of the new RP features it will still sync, but if you make it chapter-based or specify individual readings it won't until/unless Logos codes it to do so. I certainly hope it's a priority as I am quite heavy user of RPs and am having to do a lot of my RP-based reading on my laptop instead of the iPad now. I did set one up the other day to read Carson's Christ and Culture Revisited setting simply the number of weeks and it syncs fine.

Amazing job done with L6 but a serious oversight not getting comparability with the mobile app happening for the new reading plans. This is going to cause frustration, increased support calls and disappointment when users grasp their newly setup plans for 2015 aren't going to work on their mobile devices. Hope a fix is immenent.

I'm having this problem too. Any word on when the apps will be updated?

I haven't seen anything yet, but Faithlife rarely talk about new features before they are available for testing

Logos 6 custom reading plans (or those divided by chapter/pericope) are not yet supported in the mobile apps. We intend to add support in a future version.

That's great, can we get an insight into the time frame?

Unfortunately no - I don't have an ETA.

I understand - and share - the desire for this to be made available.
But this isn't restoring it to how things worked before - it is adding new capability to support new desktop functionality - and I have no idea whether or not this is a minor update.

A popup warning could be put in Logos 6 warning that these type of reading plans will not sync to iOS. How much time could have been saved with simple message box?
This is how I keep track of my devotional reading, so I consider this very important. The new functionality to break by chapter is a great new feature. I just would have refrained from using it if I had known my iPad and iPhone would not see new reading plans using this option.

Hi Randy - and welcome to the forums
Any new news on an update to sync between mac & iOS?
In general, plans do sync?
What issues are you seeing? May be best to describe in a new thread
