Is there a way to downgrade a Logos 6 installation to Logos 5 or to install Logos 5 without automatically upgrading to Logos 6?
When I requested a refund for my purchase of Logos 6 Customer Service was able to provide me with a link to redownload Logos 5.
The link looks like a public page https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/install
I actually want to install Logos 5, but keep the books I got with Logos 6. Logos 5 is much faster and more stable than Logos 6 at this time. The problem with installing Logos 5 is that it will try to update to Logos 6. I suppose I could disable the update feature after I install Logos 5.
I believe it is possible but don't know how. Based on the experience of another user who wanted to retreat, it would also be useful for you to contact Bradley with details of the performance problems. Send details to logosbugs@logos.com

If have adequate storage space, then could install Verbum and Logos.
Personally used quick install for Verbum 5.2b SR-8 to avoid downloading many resources. Changed Verbum 5.2b SR-8 program settings to set Automatically Download Updates to NO while Use Internet is YES, which allows items to sync. Periodically use command update resources or scan (to copy resources from a Logos 6 installation).

Does this mean that both Verbum and Logos can be installed on the same user account on the computer? If so, is it possible to install, for example, Verbum version 5 and Logos version 6? Does this mean that there would be 2 copies of the resources on the computer or do they share the resources from a common location?
Yes you can install Verbum and Logos on the same account -- I consistently do it so I can test problems reported on the forums and to have beta and stable versions readily available. Each installation has its own copy of resources.

Does the "Update Resources" command download the latest version of the resources from the Logos server without updating the software?
Does the "Scan" command copy the resources or allow the program to use resources in another folder?
Scan copies the resources.
I believe that update resources only considers resources.
If you are trying to avoid the upgrade from Logos 5 to Logos 6 this will not work! When the download starts it will include any program updates. You have to set Automatically Download Updates to NO and update resources via the scan command from an L6 installation that is being updated.
Note that you will lose the Interactive resources (type:Interactive) when you go back to L5.

How could you have an L6 installation to get the resources from?
Also, if a person has a Logos 5 license but has not purchased Logos 6, will their installation automatically install the Logos 6 search engine when it is available to users other than those who paid for the upgrade?
You have to purchase a Logos 6 package/crossgrade before Logos 6 will automatically install over Logos 4/5.
Create another Windows user account and install Logos 6 using Method 2. Then uninstall Logos 6 from your main account, delete the Logos folder and install Logos 5 using Method 3.
