Update?

Just opened V4 and it had a balloon pop-up saying that Logos had an update ready to install, to click it. I clicked and nothing seemed to happen.

Is there an update already or could this be from the Indexer crashing problem?

Frank I had an update last night immediatly after installation.

  • I was working merrily along at home, came to the church to finish up our powerpoint presentation for tomorrrow, and found the update bubble for Logos 4. When I clicked it, I got a dialog box that it's "preparing my libary" again, and that (again) this may take a long time

Don't know what that's all about

It looks like that update may have been for the new (original language related) resources. It was about 560 MBs....and took every bit as long to update/index the system as the original install.

I did a search in v4, Search Entire Library for Update.Which said in part:

"Logos Bible Software 4 will automatically download available software updates when your computer is connected to the Internet.
    • After updates are downloaded, restarting the program will bring up a prompt asking if you want to install the updates.
    • If the program is already open, the blue Logos icon will appear on the right side of the Windows taskbar to notify you that the updates are ready to be installed. Right-click on the icon and choose Install Updates."

It also had some good information about their progress with the Beta, which answers some questions I seen posted in this forum.
