CRASH: When moving a note with a label from one note file to another

Member Posts: 1,546 ✭✭✭

WIN Logos Bible Software 6.1 Beta 3; 6.1.0.0007

Duplication Procedure:

  1. Have open: Highlights; NASB; Note File A; Note File B
  2. Highlight a text in NASB
  3. Click on a highlight style that has a label (with or without attributes)
  4. Note with label is created in note file A
  5. Click and hold on note in Note File A and drag it to move it to Note File B
  6. In a couple seconds, Logos will crash. (Crash/log files attached)
  7. Note does not move to Note File B (It is still in Note File A when you restart Logos)
  8. Same steps using a note that does NOT have a label does not cause crash - the note moves from one file to the other with no problem.

This should be fixed in 6.1 RC1.

This should be fixed in 6.1 RC1.

Moving a note with a label from Note File A to Note file B works now (Thank you).  But, after moving the note:

    1. Press Ctrl+Z (undo) while focus is on Note File A: puts the note back in Note File A (original position) and leaves a copy in Note File B (expected and prefered behaviour)
    2. Press Ctrl+Z (undo) again while focus is on Note File A: Does nothing
    3. Press Ctrl+Z (undo) again, this time while focus is on Note File B: removes the note from Note File B and leaves the note in Note File A (expected and prefered behaviour)
    4. Press Ctrl+Y (redo) while focus is on Note File B: causes a crash.(logs attached below).  Theoretically this would put the note back in Note File B.  (Acts like it did not save the undue data from step 3 so it could not do the redo to paste it back into Note File B.)

The same thing happens with a note that does NOT have a label.

I realize this is not something users will do very often, but I wanted you to know that redo has some problems and since it is a common Windows function, apparently supported by Logos (since it responded to the keystrokes), it should probably be fixed some day.

I caused it to crash a few other ways while testing/documenting the above but I didn't go through to document those other combinations (sorry).  Other combinations of Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y with focus on the the different note files should be tested and addressed as needed.

    Thank you.
