[acknowledged]Inability to access midi files in Logos Hymnal
Has anybody been able to access the midi files for each of the hymns in Logos Hymnal? I have tried every trick in the book, but without success.

It's a feature I've not explored in a long time, but your message prompted me to try it. I clicked the "MIDI" and after an oddly long time, a MIDI rendering of the hymn came through my speakers.

I should add that I was playing them in the "Logos Hymnal Media Resource". If I open the "Logos Hymnal", I click on the eighth note icon and it plays.

Don ... I can't quite tell what you're asking for.
To hear the MIDI, you single click on the dotted-eighth note left of the title (if you're speaking of the L6 Logos Hymnal).
To download the MIDI file to your computer, you right-click the dotted-eighth note, and then select the .MID row (3rd down) on the right. Then on the left you select save file.
If you're talking about the older Logos hymnal (now called the Logos Hyminal Media Resource), then right-clicking the word MIDI does the same as above to save the file.
And welcome to the Logos forum!

Is this part of my Silver Baptist 6.0 please? (um I looked and it is...wish more hymns were in there and hymn stories too)

I too have been been having trouble with logos MIDIs on my Mac. regardless of the resource I am using (logos hymnal, Steve Green Midi Hymnal, etc...) none will play in Logos. I can still download them and then play them in garage band or whatever, but this is a cumbersome way to hear a tune.0

Thanks, Nathan. I can't even download the midi files to play elsewhere! I have arranged for a Skype call (I'm in Australia) from a Logos technician in a week's time after a trip away. I assume it's a teething problem, and I'll report to the forum if I can get it resolved.

Has anyone figured out how to make the sound work? I'm using logos 6 on a mac? I single click ... no sound and I can't download as well.

I just checked on my Mac, and I am unable to hear the midi files. Since I am running beta, I will create a thread in the beta forum.
EDIT: Here is a link to that thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/101030/698035.aspx#698035

Both the old "Logos Hymnal Media Resource" and the new L6 Logos Hymnal work fine for me. In the first, I click the "MIDI" highlight to play the hymns, in the second I click the little musical note at the start of the hymn to play the music. By the way, if I search for "hymnal" in my library (Logos 6 Diamond package), I only find the old "Logos Hymnal Media Resource", however, if I type "Logos Hymnal" in the Command Bar, then I get the option to open either one of them. Lastly, it seems like the old hymnal has a lot more hymns in it than the new Logos 6 Hymnal...so if you can get that one to work (the one with the "MIDI" link), then you will likely have more hymns available.
Hope this helps....
Kirk

Thanks Kirk. Yes, I am on a Mac (Yosemite) I'll give your suggestions a try. In any case, it shouldn't be that cumbersome. I suspect it's one of the teething problems of a new version and hopefully the Logos team will address it in time. I have been in contact with them.

I have created a case to get this issue fixed. [:)]

Has Logos provided any updates to the case you created?

As per Angela's comment in the other thread you posted in - https://community.logos.com/forums/p/101030/702822.aspx#702822 - this is believed to have been fixed in 6.2 beta 1 and so should be available to all users when this release ships to the stable channel.
