Change Default Highlighting Notebook

When I work on different projects I like to generally highlight things but keep them in a separate notebook. Now I have to go into the note an change the notebook after every highlight. Is it possible to change the default highlighting notebook somewhere in settings?

The word you are looking for is note document, not notebook. This behavior is controlled differently in the desktop vs. Mobile apps. Within the desktop app, it is currently controlled in a menu at the pallet level. Hover over the right side of the pallet name and right click. I will see if I can find a wiki link for you.
