Servers Down?
I just lost access to some books... Everything okay? Or is Jesus telling me to stop working now...

We discovered a problem in the last few minutes and are working to restore access now.

Well that explains it. Hope its up soon. I had to delete because I was running beta and they're not compatible with iOS 8.1.3. Now I can't get my books back on the stable build.

I see. I was freaking out because I am preparing for a Bible Study I lead and my Bibles are gone!
I hope access is restored soon!

No, I just lost access to 600 books! Even some I have downloaded onto my devices!

I just spoke with Kevin at Logos Cust Svc, and he told me the server should be up in about 10-15mins; even though we had books downloaded onto our device; the server ought that you did not own a license to many books and therefore was able to remove hem from your device. Pretty Creepy. If Logos goes down, we lose all our books

My resources just came back, and the downloaded resources that went missing are re-downloading.

That's one good argument for using a Windows tablet, as it would be viewed by the servers as a laptop or desktop and not lose its resources. Still, I like my iPad and my Android device, too!

Didn't something similar happen with the major outage just this past Nov? I guess they're still looking into it ... carefully [^o)] (According to Kevin's post (just below mine), this was not the same thing.)
(I've seen more reports than I expected of issues with the mobile app; the mobile apps should use any downloaded books just fine when there's no Internet -- I read in our mobile apps on the plane last week (to ETS and AAR/SBL conferences, where I am now) without any issues. But I know that iOS in particular can make its own decision to delete non-user-created data, like our downloaded ebooks, to manage space on the device, and when we get through this we'll look carefully at the source of mobile issues to see if this was the cause of unexpected missing books (and if so, how we can prevent it), or if there's something else going on.)

This issue should now be resolved.
Faithlife servers did not go down or offline during this incident. In the process of trying to improve authentication security we overlooked a resource licensing issue that caused an artificial limit in the number of resource unlocks, which in turn affected customers with a large number of resources.
We have rolled back the deployment and everything should be back to normal - we apologize for the inconvenience.

Yesterday and now this morning (Feb 5) I can access my library on my iPad, but the library is empty on my iPhone. Any suggestions?

the library is empty on my iPhone. Any suggestions?
- Is the library filtered in any way, or is the box blank? If you have typed anything into the box, delete it.
- Try the command rebuild index on the homepage.
- If neither work, you might need to delete and reinstall.

The library is blank.
I did not see a reindex item but I saw a restore purchases and tried that to no effect.
I'll try deleting an reinstalling.
I have Vryso on this iPhone as well, and the whole library shows up fine there. So both Vyrso and Logos point to the same library file? Or in having both am I duplicating items (and using space)?

Progress report: I deleted Logos from my iPhone and reinstalled it. And the library is visible again. The whole delete, restore process was quicker and easier than I expected. So all is well now. Thanks for your help.

rebuild index is a command that you must type. "restore purchases" relates to "in app" purchases from via the iTunes store. FWIW - it is better to purchase the books directly from Faithlife. I love Apple, but there is no reason to give Apple 30% (Apple policy on "in app" purchases) of your purchase price for those resources.

Vyrso and Logos point to the same library (yours), but they do not share files between the apps from within your device. Apple "sandboxes" apps (which is generally a good thing and helps protect you from fraud) so that they can't talk to one another. If you have multiple apps from Faithlife will require duplication on downloads to access those resources offline. It will also require duplication of note files, preferences, etc.
