BAGD missing

I have BAGD in my account, but it's not coming up on my android. It should be under Arndt. I've searched for "lexicon," "BAGD," "Baur," "Arndt," and scrolled down looking for it, but it's not there. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

I'm talking about: Arndt, William, F. Wilbur Gingrich, Frederick W. Danker, and Walter Bauer. A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature : a Translation and Adaption of the Fourth Revised and Augmented Edition of Walter Bauer’s Griechisch-Deutsches Worterbuch Zu Den Schrift En Des Neuen Testaments Und Der Ubrigen Urchristlichen Literatur. Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1979.

It sounds like you have the 2nd ed edition and not the 3rd that Logos currently sells. Is that right?

It probably isn't available for mobile although the selling page doesn't exist any more so one can't verify that.

Yes, BAGD is not available, as it was sold and discontinued before license agreements were written to allow it to be used on mobile devices.  BDAG is the current version, and it is available.  I do have both and verified that BAGD is not mobile enabled.

    Hi,

It's not BAGD but BDAG, then well done. [:)]

BAGD is the second edition while BDAG is the third.  As others have said Logos used to sell BAGD.

This is a problem, because Exegetical Summaries are sometimes keyed to BAGD, and sometimes to BDAG. When it cites BAGD, with a page number, you can't pull it up. It says you don't have the resource, and when you try to click on it, it is no longer available. IMO, they should re-key the Exegetical Summaries to always work with BDAG. Does anyone know of a workaround for this?

A couple of points to make.  This is an old thread.  BAGD has since made it to mobile devices, so it is now available for those who had it before it was discontinued.  It is disappointing that it is not available any longer for exactly the reasons you state; however, it would not be appropriate to have citations to BAGD link to BDAG instead because there is a possibility that a citation to BAGD could have been revised in BDAG, making it no longer valid.  Citations need to remain specific to the edition originally intended.  I do wish that they would offer BAGD again.

I would also point you to this thread, as well as this link where you can vote for BAGD to be offered.
