SUGGESTION: Bible Verses Tags (Not Highlights or Labels)

It would be nice to have a feature to tag Bible Verses, without highlighting or labeling them, with a certain topic, and then be able to search own tags? You see, when someone is studying the Bible on many subjects, doctrines etc. you cannot create a different highlight or label for every subject, as there will be too many of them in the list which is not useful and complicated to use. Those tags could be displayed just as the notes, or in another way, but it would be very helpful. Right click on the verse - select tags in the context menu, select a subject from Logos or add your own - Hit Enter and be able to search them later, memorize them or add to clippings, create sermons etc...

As you can attached notes to anything and you can attach any tag(s) to notes, I'm uncertain what you are asking for that is not already provided. The subjects from Logos are already handled via community tags.

No, because even a new solution would probably be based on notes as the mechanism to provide for storage and synchronization. You basically have 3 choices, both of which can function in offline mode:

community tags in which case Logos provides the values and categories of the tags
labels which provide for user defined tag values with optional multiple attributes allowing one to manage one's tags (or leave them free form)
tags on notes which need not be visible notes with totally freeform tags

It really sounds like what you want are labels even though they are not called "tags". What do you need that labels do not provide?

Labels provide better search capabilities than Notes and are flexible. Only require the internet for syncing to your other computers.

Set up as follows

Have a light background.

Set up one attribute "Tag" which can take any text value. Enter multiple values separated by a semi-colon e.g. love; humility.

Search for all with:-

{Label Tagging}

To find tags with"love" in them:-

{Label Tagging WHERE Tag ~love}

One highlight, one Label. Search will highlight results in your resources (you don't have to manually scan a Note file).
