Touch Highlighting on iOS

Hello!  I've used the Logos Bible App on iOS along with the Windows app for years.  Today on the iOS app I went to copy and a verse from 2 Corinthians so that I could then paste it in another app.  Note that the verse in question was already highlighted with a couple of different types of highlights.

As I selected the verse, the iOS app now applied yet another type of highlighting (apparently the most recent I had used in the Windows app, which on the surface sounds pretty cool) but the result was that it disrupted my existing highlighting and further more I couldn't simply copy and paste the text (at least from what I could see).  I found sharing options, but not copy and paste.  These are distinctly different.

I researched and found that this is called "Touch Highlighting."  I certainly understand how it could be a benefit for some, but for the way I use the apps cross platform it is disruptive.  Is there a way to disable Touch Highlighting on iOS?

Thank you!
