"Look Up" function not using Apple's dictionary
I understand the "Look Up" function when used in Bible specific resources will pull up info (Lemma, morphology) related to the word, but when you hit Look Up on a word in a non-Bible book, it hangs and cannot find it. How do you pull up the "Define" option to just look for the definition? Where is the dictionary? Shouldn't you also have a dictionary function to be used regardless if it is a Bible or non-Bible resource?

Thx Graham...
See screenshot...I do not get "Manage"..."Search" is displayed. It just says "No info available"
The latest iOS 4.4.2 -- actually am using Verbum, but same throughout Bible!
V6 Platinum ( should that matter?)

Thanks David
I don't think base package should matter in this case but it does sometime affect things.
What you describe is similar to that discussed at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/97252.aspx?PageIndex=1 but that should have been fixed in 4.4.1.
Following up the discussion in that thread can you check if you see the same problem if offline?

I read that thread...I realized my dictionaries were not downloaded to my device, even though I used them in iBooks/Kindle. That solves that, Thx Graham!

Likewise, one final thought, would there also be a 'define' option for words in a Bible? Just for the sake of definition? Or is that feature only for non-Bible resources?

The difference is actually between Bibles with an underlying Reverse Interlinear (such as NIV) where instead of the definition capability you get access to the underlying Original Language as opposed to Bibles without an RI (such as Good News) where you do get the Define function.
I don't know of any way to get access to a Define function for RI Bibles

I'll try that. Would be nice to have a toggle option between Logos look-ups and a dictionary. Or just even add both, 'Define' next to 'Look Up'.

[Y] to that...sometimes I just want the English definition of a word in my Bible.
