Immediate Crashing After Downloading a Book for Offline Reading
I am running 1.2.1. I downloaded For the Love of God Vol 1 for offline reading and after opening the resource and following a link, it crashed. Now as soon as I run the app, it is a guaranteed crash within 5 seconds.
I had already downloaded and used 3 other books for offline viewing. I am on a 32 GB iPod Touch

I also had a crash after installing 1.2.1 and adding one more book to the offline status. It simply closed the application and started to crash always I tried to open it. I had to restart my iPhone. Then it opened without crash.

So I did power-off on my iPhone by holding down both the power button and the one beneath the screen. Still crashing. Is that what you meant by restarting?

Uninstalling the app & reinstalling fixed the problem. The exact same thing occurred when I opened up the resource (For the Love of God) and then attempted to follow a link to a Bible verse within it.
I noted another behavior that was odd (that I think has been reported before), a reading plan that I had deleted from my Logos4 program about a week ago after I completed it was downloaded even to the fresh install. So there's something weird happening on the server in relation to reading plan syncing.

Well, to restart your iPhone you just hold the power button till you see the red slider. You slide it and it shuts your iPhone. Then you press the power button again to start it.

I had the exact same issue but after going into iTunes with my iPhone connected I uninstalled the app and the re-installed. Then marked for local copy the ESV and then marked For the Love of God Vol 1. The first two times I would get a crash but then the third time no crash. Then this morning in church I opened the app and it immediately crashed. After about 10 seconds I opened the app again and it worked fine. I hope the app has some diag code to capture what is going on and report it back to Logos.

Hey, you guys are lucky you can at least download books. My iPhone crashes as soon as I try to d/l a book. It never gets as far as having the book on the phone. But, I'm assuming Logos are aware of the issue and a fix will be available in due corse, as enough has been said elsewhere.

Jacob,
Just to clarify, after downloading For the Love of God Vol 1, were you offline when you opened that resource and followed the link? Was the link to a reference within the resource, or was it a Bible reference? If a Bible reference, and you were offline, had you already downloaded your preferred Bible to view offline?
Also, what is the version of your iPod's OS?
Thanks,

MelissaI was not offline when I opened it and followed the link. The resource was navigable (and the program not crashing) prior to activating offline mode for the resource. Then once the airplane appeared on the cover (I was still online), following a Bible link within the program crashed it. The ESV is my preferred Bible and I had it downloaded for offline use as well. But again, I did have an internet connection while I was doing this.

Have you been able to update to 1.2.2, and if so, are you able to get in to the app?

Upgrading to 1.2.2 still has the problem. The only way to get into the app after this crash occurs is to delete the app from the iPod and then redownload it. I have done that 4 times now....padding your download stats :-)

Could you get a crash log and attach to this thread? Instructions are here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/8254/70059.aspx#70059.
