Proclaim updates and Automator

Good afternoon,

I'm wondering if there is a way to run Apple Automator scripts to update Proclaim, or search for updates on a regular basis. Proclaim needs the administrator level password due to the updates effecting system files, and automator can elevate privileges to do this.

Also, do the Proclaim updates release on certain days of the week or is it at random?

    Proclaim does not have any scripting available. We typically aim to release early in the week to allow updating well before you need it for a service.

    When Proclaim is started (or from user clicking the link to check for updates - in About dialog), we load a URL out of our plist to check an xml file for the latest update. The software determines if an update is available as well as if it is a required update.

    Sometimes we have a minimum client requirement and our update code shows a dialog saying that must update before you proceed, we try to limit these and only make a required update if we changed something very important that needs every client to be updated for proper cloud collaboration. 

    You could, theoretically, check this url yourself, but you would not be able to script an update.
