Can anyone tell me the function of the Update button in the PBB? When pressed it gives a status bar and a Finished button when it is done. What I would like to know is, where does it upload to? (see screen shot below) Thanks.
The Upload button puts a copy of the PB on Faithlife servers, from where it is downloaded to other installations you may have. There is a limit on size, so it won't be uploaded if bigger than about 24 MB.

The metadata (title, author, publisher, etc.) for personal books has always synced. Up until recently you could see personal books on all your installations, but you would get a "resource unavailable" warning if you tried to open a personal book on a computer that you hadn't either 1) compiled the personal book or 2) manually added the compiled file. With the "upload" button, you can eliminate compiling on multiple computers or having to manually move the compiled file. The upload button is also important for when (we hope) Faithlife adds personal book compatibility with the mobile apps.
