[resolved]Bug / question: Multiple selection in Library

I'm trying to hide multiple resources at once. No matter what mechanism I use to select the multiple resources - Shift+End, multiple Ctrl+left-click, Shift+left-click - when I do a mouse-down to initiate the drag operation, all of the selected entries except the one that I clicked become unselected. Hopefully that's clear - I'm not clicking and releasing the left mouse button. I'm clicking down and holding, preparing to start dragging the selected entries over to the "Hide" panel in Settings (the first place you'd think of to Hide something, of course - sorry, couldn't resist ;).

Latest version of L6, Windows 8.1 x64.

Thoughts? Thanks,

Donnie

It's not done by dragging. Hold CTRL before you right click the selection and you will see the multiple hide option

Thanks for the reply, Dave. Your instruction worked. However, from the Help in L6:

    3. Drag resources you want to hide from the Library panel to this section. (Tip: Open Library in panel next to Program Settings panel.)

The heading for this section is "How do I remove a book..."; so these are probably instructions for a single resource. However, that doesn't jump out when reading it. And if that's correct, then there are no instructions in Help on hiding multiple resources.

Yes, it is out of date.

I created a new thread for the documentation problem as Faithlife has not picked this thread up

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The Help file has been updated since this post. The current text says:

    [quote]

    3. Drag resources you want to hide from the Library panel to this section. (Tip: Open Library in panel next to Program Settings panel.)

    • To hide more than one resource at a time see the instructions in Library > Library Options.

    The linked section says:

    [quote]

    Hide Resources:

    1. Select one or more resources.
    2. Hold down the Opt key (Mac) or the Ctrl key (Win) and right-click on part of the selected area.
    3. Choose Hide this resource from the menu to move the selected resource(s) to the ‘Hidden Resources’ section in the Program Settings panel.
