3-3-2015 update
when I was doing yesterday's update on my iPad air, it said that this is the last update for iOS 6.x devices. I have an iPhone 6 plus and an iPad air, so does this mean I won't be able to update logos software in the future? I use my logos software daily.

The key issue is what version of iOS are you using.
I expect they will both be running iOS 8.x so you should be fine.

A trip to 'Settings – General – About – Version' should put your mind at rest.
The latest version is iOS 8.1.3 which I imagine is what you will be running.

for clarification: the iPhone 6 shipped with iOS 8. The numbers in the version of the phone (iPhone 6) and the operating system (iOS 8) are completely unrelated. Furthermor, updates to your operating system (iOS) are free. You should be updating to iOS 9 when it is released sometime in the fall.
The real meaning behind the warning isn't that devices shipped with iOS 6 won't be able to update to a new version of the logos app (they will... As long as they updated to a newer version of iOS), but that devices which can't update to at least iOS 7 will be excluded. I don't know off the top of my head which specific iPhone we are talking about, but presumably it is one at least 5 years old.

According to the Wikipedia article linked below, this is only a major problem for users with an iPhone 3Gs or earlier. The 3Gs was released in June of 2009.

I still have my 3G kicking around as a remote for my apple TV... It was a great phone (with a bad battery life). So I guess this means this is the last version of verbal that it will ever have on it (not that I use Verbum on it much just keep it there in case only thing I think is downloaded on it is the NRSV and the NIB)...
