Performance Lag Issues with Bible! App

I have been experiencing a lag in performance with the Bible! app on my iPad 4 (first noticed with pre-4.5.0 versions and has continued with 4.5.0). For example, when I tap an icon, like the Font or Library icon, or when I swipe to switch pages, there can be a 2-5 second (or more) hesitation before the app responds. Sometimes it freezes up for close to a minute…very annoying.

• It occurs in any resource I use (KJV 1900, Worldly Saints, Balancing the Christian life, etc.)
• The resources I am reading are downloaded.
• I have tried reinstalling the app and redownloading resources.
• I have restarted the iPad a few times.
• I have put the iPad in Airplane mode and experience the same lag.
• I have noticed that the lag is especially bad during and after using two fingers to scroll up or down. Almost as if that could be the cause, but I'm not certain.
• The lag is present with “Scrolling View” turned on or off.
• I have tried disabling all Notes, but the lag is still present.
• I have sent logs to tech support.

Anyone else experiencing similar lag/hesitation issues on iOS (I am on iOS 8.1.3)?

Is my iPad 4 getting too old for the Logos app? I don’t experience the same issue on my iPhone 5 which has the same processor. Does anyone with the iPad Airs notice a considerable performance improvement, or is it more incremental?
