[resolved] Bug: Send to Kindle has disappeared for some books in 6.2!
The new information panel in the library doesn't have Send to Kindle for Vyrso books, even though you can send them to Kindle. Download to devices is also missing. Please bring it back!
The section is missing from the books information page, too.
Edit: See the more accurate bug report below.

It appears to be for all Vyrso books, including those which I've previously sent to Kindle.

I am not seeing this, including resources previously sent. "New" resources (recently published) are still unavailable.

Hm. It's there on my machine. I can see it for several of the books I randomly looked at in the library.
EDIT: as a reference point, I just sent over the most bestselling Vyrso book I own (thus hoping for you or others with issues to have it as well and be able to try), which happens to be a TGC-book by DA Carson and Tim Keller: Gospel-Centered Ministry. Worked like a charm:
Have joy in the Lord!

As others are saying, this still is working for me.
Is it possible your kindle details have disappeared in the Faithlife servers? Would this cause this issue?

I've checked more thoroughly. The problem is not that you can't send to Kindle, the problem is that the entire "Devices" section is missing for some resources. Excluding Zondervan titles, Vyrso books not available to send to mobile devices include:
- B&H
- The Everychurch Guide to Growth: How Any Plateaued Church Can Grow
- MissionShift
- Transformational Church
- Baker
- How to Debt-Proof Your Marriage
- Crossway
- Church History: A Crash Course for the Curious
- The Great Exchange: My Sin for His Righteousness
- George Whitefield: God's Anointed Servant in the Great Revival of the Eighteenth Century
- The Hole in Our Holiness: Filling the Gap between Gospel Passion and the Pursuit of Godliness
- Name Above All Names
- John Newton: From Disgrace to Amazing Grace
- Sex, Dating, and Relationships: A Fresh Approach
- Whiter Than Snow: Meditations on Sin and Mercy
- David C Cook
- Battle Ready: Prepare to Be Used by God
- Found: God's Will
- The God Who Sees You: Look to Him When You Feel Discouraged, Forgotten, or Invisible
- Hell Is Real (But I Hate to Admit It)
- Passport through Darkness: A True Story of Danger and Second Chances
- The Same Love: A Devotion
- Touching Wonder: Recapturing the Awe of Christmas
- Unfaithful: Hope and Healing After Infidelity
- Keygma Publishing
- Worldview: Learning to Think and Live Biblically
- Moody:
- Coffee House Chronicles Set
- Revell:
- Living Successfully with Screwed-Up People
- Thomas Nelson:
- Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy
- Tyndale
- Beyond Ordinary: When a Good Marriage Just Isn't Good Enough
- Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room: Daily Family Devotions for Advent
Those marked in red are ones that I have previously sent to Kindle!
It looks like the problem is related to a bug I reported in December, where some books were able to be sent to Kindle, but not downloaded to mobile devices, and where some books could be downloaded for you, Graham, but not for me. Now those same books can't be sent to Kindle at all because the entire section is missing.
It's definitely a bug, because most of these resources can be downloaded onto a mobile device (i.e. they're available in the Vyrso app), and the Kindle server doesn't reject them if you request them outside the app.

It does, indeed, look similar to that problem. But not clear why it is affecting you and not NB.Mick or me.

It might be a metadata problem at my end. Unfortunately, forcing a metadata refresh has failed.

At the risk of stating the obvious, could it be you need to reset you kindle email address?

I can send some books to Kindle, but not others, so that's not the problem.

I'm inclined to think it is a metadata problem, as I don't have this issue on another installation. However, I still can't refresh the metadata, so I'm no better off.

I've created a case. I've talked it over with our server guys and they seem to indicate that the resource should be available, so we're not sure what's going on at this point. If it was an app issue, I'd expect consistency between different users, but we're unsure at this point. [:S]

Mark,
Do you still have a copy of Stable (6.1) handy to see if the behavior is the same for those resources?

I have 6.1 on another machine, and all is well there. However, the problem first occurred on this machine in 6.1, though with slightly different results.
My money is still on bad metadata causing this problem, but problems with the metadata service are stopping me from testing that theory.

Mark,
Thanks, I think I know what is happening now. A user with only a Kindle device would have a similar problem where the Devices section is hidden. I think yours is hidden when you have a problem contacting the service and so it looks like you have no other mobile devices and runs into this other problem.

This should be fixed in 6.2 Beta 3.

Confirmed. I can now see "Send to Kindle", even when no other devices are listed.

I using Logos Bible Software 6.2 SR-1 6.2.0.0043
Yancey, What's so Amazing About Grace "Send to Kindle" is not available. It also does not show "Mobile devices" in the resource information page for that resource.
The same is true for The New Manners and Customs of Bible Times...

Zondervan do not permit their publications to be sent to kindle or to mobile devices. However you should still be able to download it from your phone/tablet.
I'm not sure why New Manners and Customs is in the same category, though.

I can't find a book called The New Manners and Customs of Bible Times. I found two similar titles... I assume you mean one of those. The "send to kindle" feature utilizes the email-to-kindle feature and has size limits for files. Both resources I pulled up had a number of illustrations, which cause files sizes to rise rapidly. It is likely that the file size is too large to be sent. Both books, however, were able to be managed from within L6 (send to mobile app).

It's an old Moody title.
