I love Logos 6. I have a few technical difficulties that I'd like to share in the hopes that there is a fix (or that developers will see).
The first problem is with regard to selecting text. Whenever I select text, the program makes me select a whole sentence or a whole paragraph; it no longer lets me go character-by-character selection of text and highlighting. A key example of this is that I wanted to highlight the "m" in Thomas's use of "unum" rather than "unus." Since it was at the end of the word, the formatting made me select the whole word. When I come back to this reading in a few months, I will not remember that I wanted to note to myself the declension ending. I know; I could make a note, but I highlight very carefully to avoid the pain of always having to make notes on everything. Is there a way to change this?
Secondly, I really like the feature of syncing two similar readings side-by-side. I like this feature a lot. Thank you for developing it. I would like to point out a few imperfections in this though. For example, let's say I link the Summa Theologica in Latin and English. I want a close look at the Latin so I put the English on "read aloud" while I view the Latin text. When I come to STh., III q.16 a.1 resp., the respondeo is so long that Logos will not permit a side by side comparison. It seems that there needs to be some sort of fix to allow the more continuous scrolling on the read-aloud. If I click to one side to scroll down, that sends the other side back to the top of the unit. One easy fix would be to allow yet smaller fonts than the program permits. I have the font set to the smallest possible setting, and I could still read it were it even half its present size. That would be a temporary fix to the problem I am describing, because it would not solve all such cases like this, but it would help greatly, I think.
Anyhow, thank you for your work in developing this program. God bless!
