Resource Storage Locations

Could someone tell me where to find the resource folder in windows and in mac?
I'm trying to decide if I can get by with a 128 ssd macbook air (I'm a little worried about the 4 gigs of ram) as they are dropping a bit in price as the new macbook comes out. I need to know if I'll have room for logos, which is the most important thing I'll be using the air for if I buy one. Sorry to post what must be a question that's been answered many times in the forums, but I have tried searching for a while and have had no success. I want the windows info too because even if I get the location path on the mac, I might not be able to figure out how to navigate to it ( I'm using both platforms and am much more familiar with windows).
Thank you.

Thank you Graham.
Looks like I'll have plenty of room with even just 128gb ssd, my resources take up less than 35gb. Now I'm off to search again and see if I can find anyone who's using a macbook air with only 4 gigs of ram to find out if its usable...
