How do you use the cultural concepts tool when actually studying a passage? I put it in my custom passage guide, but I never use it. I always consult a background commentary, and feel generally educated on manners and customs. Has anyone found this feature a weekly must-have that could give me some hints on using it?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I don't use it much, but I am studying Romans 9 and found the Covenant item interesting, but would have to refine the search parameters to be more manageable. However, a Topic Guide on Covenant is much more useful as I see specific covenants listed. OTOH Factbook presents both sets of results!

In Passage Guide, though, it provided more useful information than the Topics section (which I never use!). So it is useful if not essential.
