Farewell Mr. Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore
After seven days of national mourning, today 29th March 2015, our country bid farewell to our first Prime Minister.
The founding father of Singapore, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, is an example of servant leadership.
Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, with his able-bodied colleagues, brought us from being a third world country to a first world country during his lifetime in government.
I am reminded of Ecclesiastes 5:9 (ESV) — 9 But this is gain for a land in every way: a king committed to cultivated fields.
Rest in peace, Sir !!

Irrespective of our individual beliefs in religions, political affiliations or otherwise, it is common courtesy to extend condolence of a "Rest in Peace". If that is even not forthcoming, where then is the love and grace ?
This post is coming from a heartfelt citizen who has been brought out of the pits and now enjoying the many peaks of a first world country.
I will therefore not engage and/or defend any biblical, theological or controversial topics here as define by the forum guidelines. To the extend necessary, I have no qualms if the moderators of this forum were to delete this thread.

I think that as Christians we are all too eager to condemn people to hell. It seems that, if someone doesn't think as we think they should, we decide that they are reprobate. This reminds me of the old Gnostics who maintained that it all resolved to "getting your head straight." We use the excuse that they don't "believe." Well, just what is belief? I think it is trusting and relying. Who is to say that the agnostic doesn't rely on the love of God just as much (or perhaps even more) than those we deem theologically correct?
