Did you know that the Academic Blog had a long series of daily blogs on using the BSL? Did you know that it has just started a new weekly series called Hi-Def Monday? Did you know that you can find these and other training content on the Logos  Academic Blog Training Reading List?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

No I did not know this but it looks like it would be quite useful so I've made note of it. Thanks for pointing this out MJ.

Thanks MJ for pointing this out and collecting it in a reading list.

And thanks Allen for providing the links.

Hey, Allen ...I gave a command trail for the way it is intended to be accessed. [;)] You'll see my ulterior motive over the next few days.[8-|] Here it is in pictures:

Yes I have an agenda that includes a number of additional reading list for reference and training. But I must be off.

I had contemplated a similar post of the blog URL before Allen did it. Some people were not aware of the blog at all (I actually had to Google it to find its URL), and it's nice that he pointed out its URL. I personally think it's easier to read a blog sequentially by poking around on the web than by accessing it through a RL in Logos, but it's good that you reminded people of that feature too and spent the time to create this particular RL. Some people might want to do it methodically and check off when they've read each post, and you've made a way for them to do that. Thank you for your effort. It does seem like a lot of work to keep up with, though, as they could add more posts on those topics and then the RL would become stale if you're not on top of it.

BTW, you've spelled Jonathan Watson's name wrong in all the entries of the RL. Another pitfall of duplicating information.

That's the way I'm doing it. I only wish that I could read them all at once without having to separately open each of them which is quite time consuming.

Not spelled wrong anymore [:D] Thanks for pointing it out.

The lists have existed in some form for at least 3 years. I've been redoing them in a way more compatible with the Verbum/Logos/Academic split and still have some uncertainty as to how I want the mobile and web apps handled. But my motivation for pushing the use at this moment actually has to due with lectionaries.

Ah: you're doing this from within Logos 6?

That is what you said, but I only ever visited those pages from within a browser.

    Thanks for posting.

For many reading lists it makes sense to do it outside of Logos 6. But for ones that put additional resources at your fingertips without cluttering favorites or shortcuts, it makes sense to access within Logos 6. And example is the Season of Creation resources one. I'm working towards lectionary, prayer book and denominational support as reading lists on the left of the layout ... something I've been doing for some time but am just getting comfortable enough with to feel its time to share.

Me too, and thanks again MJ! I'm hoping that more MVPs/Pros/Users blog about example uses of these features in their exegesis.  It is so inspiring to see the power of Logos software in action.
