Thanks, Lynden. For some reason, I thought I already had that one, but it was probably an e-Sword flashback.

FWIW, in the early 1800s, Southern Baptists probably had a blend of Reformed and Arminian adherents. But the Arminians back then know who was there first. [:O]

At 11 pages , there must not have been a whole lot of denominations back then.  Either that, or not much to say.

Did not notice it was 11 pages, but still worth the 5.00.

I wish we could get the complete Hitchcock’s New and Complete Analysis of the Holy Bible.

Yeah, because in this century, I have heard various apologists claim that there are, by the various reckonings, 23,000 to 30,000 Protestant denominations. So, they must have really grown in 150 or so years. Unless, of course, these guys were just makin' it up.

To produce the revised standard version of that book today in 11 pages would take something like 2727.27272727 entries per page.  You could divide that into 4 columns and get it down to a mere 681.818181818 entries per column.  That wouldn't leave much room for discussion.

Ah, yes, that's where they got it from. Still not convinced it has any meaning in the discussion of Sola Scriptura, which I know is not the context of this thread, but, as I was remiss in not specifying, was the context in which I heard the numbers cited.
