Collection suggestion: works of Walter Brueggemann

Walter Bruggemann is an American Old Testament scholar and author, the son of a German Evangelical minister. He served for many years as the William Marcellus McPheeters professor of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary, from where he retired in the early 2000s. He is an advocate and practitioner of rhetorical criticism.

Bruggemann is a brilliant and prolific writer, and I've found some of his works to be extremely helpful. Logos already offers his Theology of the Old Testament: Testimony, Dispute, Advocacy, though why it's not in downloadable format is beyond me -- please make it available to download! Furthermore, I would like to see a collection including more of Brueggemann's insights into Scripture, hermeneutics, theology, homiletics, and prayer.

Here would be my dream list:

I would love to see a Brueggemann collection.

I think his OT theology isn't available for download because Fortress bundles the CD with the paperback of his OT theology. Buy the book, get the Libronix copy for free, that's how I got it.

Oh, I see. But Logos has the file on their servers (which we'd be able to sync with if, for example, we accidentally deleted the file; and then ran update resources), so they should be able to sell it as a download. I already own the hardcover of the book.

I'm hoping that as a bundle it would be very attractively priced. Sorry to make you feel pain in your wallet. I probably spend too much money on Logos resources and don't use them nearly as much as would justify spending that kind of money on them. I keep thinking I've finished building up my library, but of course as we all know "Of the making of many books, there is no end..." (Ecc. 12:12)

Brueggeman publishes with several publishers, so the logistics of bundling all these works may be challenging--but well worth the effort IMHO.

They do other bundles that span across multiple publishers (e.g., the Hebrew Bible Bundle), so I'm sure it can be done.
