Internet links to do not connect to the internet in Logos 4

I am new to Logos. I am not sure if it is just me not being able to find the right place in the settings or not.
Whenever I try connecting to one of the internet links whether it be Logos.com or some other site such as sermonaudio.com it will not connect? Is this because I have Firefox as my default browser when Logos asks for Internet Explorer? or is there something else I am missing.
When I click it does not even leave Logos Bible program it just does nothing!
Thanks for the help!

Jason,
Can you give more detail?
What are you specifically doing to try and connect to the internet? Notes? Shortcut bar?
Post a description and screen shot if possible....

For Instance if I am on the home page and I want to click on the link that says Logos4: Highlight a word or phrase with a visual filter. I will click on the link and it will just stay in logos. It will not send me to the actual internet to read the rest of the topic. Or let's say I am doing research on Luke 2 in the exegetical guide and go to the point where it says powerpointsermons.com and I want to click on the powerpoint that says "O Holy Night" whenever I click on any external link, Logos does nothing. Here is a picture of the "O Holy Night" screen.

Jason,
I wouldn't know what to say...you are now obviously connected to the internet, let me ask:
Have you by accident turned off "use the internet" in the programs panel?
Tools>Program settings>use internet
Other than something like I wouldn't know what to say.....sorry.

It is not that I cannot connect to the internet on my own, but I cannot connect to the internet via Logos. IF Logos has a internet link in it, it will not let me go to that link
My internet use says. that it is on.

Hi Jason,
Program access to/from the Internet can be affected by firewall and anti-virus software. You might try temporarily disabling protection to see if that makes a difference. You can configure the software to allow full access to Logos 4.

Hi Jason, I have the same problem at times with Sermoncentral, but it's sporadic... at first I thought it was a bad link and moved on. Then the next day I thought to test the sermoncentral site again to hear a Spurgeon sermon and it worked! Great Sermon, though I don't think it was actaully Spurgeon [;)] *humor* I'm thinking that its due to my systems limitations, which will probably be fixed as soon as somone buys me that new i7 system. I have a Pentium 4 with 3 GB RAM, with a cable connection to the internet. It also seems that when I do a reboot, things work better for a time.
Not saying this is your problem, but thoght it was similar to mine.

I'm having the same problem. I just put Parallels on my Mac and downloaded L4. The sermoncentral.com and sermonaudio sections are grey and have no results. The powerpointsermons and sermons.logos both work.
Any ideas?

I just got this resolved yesterday afternoon. It is actually the problem with your internet browser and nothing to do with LOGOS itself! It dealt with whether or not your browser was set at default. I am a user of Firefox and what I did was go to Tools> Options> General. On the general tab there is at the bottom a place that says check now, click that and the it will set Firefox as your default. I know it will be different for each web browser. If that does not work let me know. I have one more tech trick up my sleeve!
Hope that helps!

I think this should be Tools>Options>Advanced>General.

Well, I'm running L4 on a Mac using parallels and IE is the only browser intalled on that side of the machine. So it can't be a browser conflict.
Actually, the problem looks to be a bit random. Sometimes I get the audio sermon section to work and the Logos sermon section doesn't work. Other times it's the opposite. But either way, sermoncentral.com never works.

Now I dont use mac, but what was interesting is that Explorer for me did not even pop either. So you still might need to make sure that your browser is set to default. The other thing with Windows is that if you go to Start>Control Panel>Classic View>Default Programs>Associate a file type or protocol with a program. Let this list load. Once this list is loaded go to the extensions .htm and .html. Highlight both of them and them click the "CHANGE PROGRAM" button. Once in there then click internet explorer. Then click ok! This should work hopefully!
Hope it helps!

IE was already the default program for htm, html. So that's not it. Like I said, I just installed parallels, so nothing has been changed from the default settings when I installed XP.

not so sure what to say about that...I would suggest calling technical support.

OK, now, after downloading an update today, the SermonCentral.com section has completely disappeared and the other sections (sermonaudio, sermons.logos, and powerpointsermons) are all working correctly. So what happened to SermonCentral.com?

This is only temporary, some issues on sermon central's side. Should be fixed soon.
