[resolved] Use case for Link to Open Panels?

Can somebody provide a real world use/benefit for Link to Open Panels? What would I use it for? This is something I've wondered about since L4, but never enough to ask. I searched to see if there were any threads that explained it well, but I didn't find any.
Just curious

It is very helpful when you go from a bible to BDAG and want to see what section has the bible reference you are studying. Just one example.

Yes, John's example is the main one. If you have a Bible open and BDAG open, for instance, and you double click a word to open the entry in BDAG, you can scroll through the long entry in BDAG and once a reference to your verse appears, that reference is highlighted in BDAG because your Bible is open to that passage. This works if link to open panels is checked in BDAG.

Hello. did they change the "Link to open panels" button? I can't find it in the Visual Filters for BDAG. Thanks for any help.

It's called "Emphasize active references" in the latest version of Logos 6.
