[request] Three Questions about Clippings

I'm just starting to create clippings documents and have three questions.  (This is on a Windows implementation of Logos.)

  1. Is there any way to make highlights within the selected text from a resource carry over to the clipping file?
  2. Is there a way to highlight text within a clipping?  (Not make it bold or italics, but actually highlight the text.)
  3. When exporting a clipping to a Word document, is there a way to carry over the full resource name as it appears at the top of the clipping instead of it being shortened/abbreviated in the Word doc?

E.g. the resource name at the top of the clipping is Paul's Letter to the Romans: A Socio-Rhetorical Commentary, but when exported to Word it's abbreviated as PLR:SRC.  Is there a way to prevent that other than by creating a long custom "short title" for the resource which would result in a not-so-short short title in all the other places Logos makes use of the short title?  Indifferent

I do not believe highlights copy over, nor can you highlight text within a clipping. However standard RTF editor commands do work. For example Ctrl+B = Bold, Ctrl+I = Italics, Ctrl + U = Underline, etc.

You can find a complete list of these commands in the Logos Help file under the heading "Windows Keyboard Shortcuts"

Thanks Fredc!  Interesting... the clippings editing ribbon has options for bold and italics but not for underline, yet the Ctrl+U does in fact work to underline (or remove an underline).  I wonder why there's no underline option on the editing ribbon.  While the underlining isn't as nice/flexible as full fledged highlighting, it's a step in the right direction and an option I would have missed without your help.  [:)]

None that I'm aware of. I do edit my exported clippings for clarity, though.

Thank you, Dave!  Seems curious to me the developers would think it's a good thing to take a nice clear title and chop it down to something nearly useless on the export.  Oh well... even with the shortcomings, clippings are still a nice feature and I'm glad to have it.
