[ACK] Simple copy/paste makes MASSIVE files

I noticed recently that when I copy/paste a selection of Logos text into a certain RTF editor, it makes for huge files. The text below from the JPS Torah Commentary- Haftarot, on Isa 6:9, occupies roughly 4.5Mb! (FWIW, I've seen this happen before, but just never worried about it. My MB Air's 128Gb SSD is getting full, though, and it's becoming a worry.)
Is there a way to see exactly what is being copy/pasted, code and all? Or a stripped-down copy/paste?
Hear, indeed, but do not understand Isaiah’s message is stylistically and theologically difficult. NJPS renders the particle vav as “but” and thus introduces a paradoxical teaching. The prophet is apparently bidden to speak in such a way as to elicit the people’s rejection of the message, thereby preventing repentance and ensuring divine punishment. On this reading, the absolute forms in verse 10 (“dull … stop”) also have a negative force. Alternatively, the vavs in verse 9 have a clarifying force (viz., “hear though you do not understand”) and reflect a more psychological fact. The people may hear, but they have become too inured to respond to the divine word. On this reading, the absolute forms in verse 10 clarify the inability of the people to respond (cf. Septuagint; Rashi; Kimḥi; Luzzatto). Understood in this way, the resistance belongs to the people and is not a matter of divine cunning. The people’s inability to see or hear thus contrasts sharply with the prophet’s own vision. The sequence of acts (verb and body part) in verse 10a is reversed in verse 10b.

There is on Windows; don't know about Mac. I copied that paragraph and Logos put 1,644 bytes on the clipboard. (The size should be approximately the same on Mac, since it uses the same copy/export code.)
Does your "certain RTF editor" have the same problem if you paste the text into TextEdit first, then re-copy it into the other editor?

Ben - is this still a problem? I see Bradley needed additional information.
