Logos begins to start, I hear the music as it's loading, and then it crashes before even having a chance to use the program.

Hi Ken - and welcome to the forums
Sorry to hear you are having problems.

I've had a look at the log and I can't identify a quick fix.
But Logos 4 is very old and no longer supported.
Are you aware you can upgrade to the Logos 6 core engine for free? I would suggest you try that and see whether the problem persists after that.
It is available at https://www.logos.com/product/46767/logos-6-core-engine

Thanks, Graham. I've been very satisfied with Logos 4. I'm in the middle of a project and I don't really have the time or desire to learn how to navigate a new version. Is there any way to just reload Logos 4?

I'm not familiar with this crash, but it mentions the Help panel.
Try opening to a blank layout and avoid opening the Help panel. (Any existing layouts that include the Help panel will need to be recreated.)
However, I would also recommend updating to Logos 6. It's not that different from Logos 4, so it shouldn't require a lot of time to learn it.

OK, I just went ahead and updated to Logos 6, downloaded and indexed everything, and things seem fine so far. You're right, Bradley. At least initially the layout of Logos 6 seems very similar to that of Logos 4.
Eventually, I'll want to get rid of the Logos 4 program that repeatedly crashes. I'm guessing I just delete it from the applications menu and that takes care of everything, right? Or is there another folder associated with Logos 4 hiding somewhere that I need to get rid of as well?
Thanks
Ken

The Logos 4 program can be removed from your /Applications folder. Logos 6 uses the same data folders as Logos 4 so you will no longer be able to use Logos 4 after running Logos 6.
