Herod the Great
I am reading a book and it mentions Herod building a great temple to himself and to God. I did a search <topic:second temple><person:Herod the Great>
This search found zero results.....I assume an and was used and its not "the second temple" that Herod built
This great temple that Herod built was ?? masada ?? another iln Jerusalem? outside Jerusalem?

Herod the Great started renovating the temple in 20BC. It was located on the temple mount in Jerusalem.

Besides the temple in Jerusalem, Herod also built a temple in the Banias area, as well as one in Caesarea....but not "to God," but Caesar.
