[resolved] BUG: Inline lemma search

In the recent past, the functionality of inline searches with original languages just went back to the bible software dark ages (a la BibleWorks). I am assuming it happened with this last update since it worked just fine before. Here's the issue:
Typing in original languages into an inline search is now so un-functional that it has effectively been eliminated
Previously, in order to do an inline search it was as easy as typing in "lemma:δικαιο". Logos would show suggestions, I would click δικαιοω, hit enter and the search would be up and running. Easy. There was no having to track down an occurrence of the word in the text, etc.
Now, no suggestions are offered and no simple search works. After calling customer support I learned that I now need to, either, a) run an english search for the word I'm looking for, find a result with the underlying proper original language word (ex δικαιοω not δικαιοσυνη), right click that word and run a lemma search OR b) run a lemma search on any word (at the moment, working on trying to remember the new syntax code-<Lemma = lbs/el/_______>) to pull up the correct syntax, enter δικαιοω in another window (δικαιο no longer will bring up a suggestion for δικαιοω) in order to bring up a suggestion for δικαιοω with the proper accented omicron, and then copy and paste that into the original window with the proper syntax command.
I realize this is a first world problem, but this is SO much less functional. I'm genuinely having a hard time seeing how anyone could ever consider this an upgrade to where it would make it through to an update. Maybe this is blown out of proportion in my mind while I am in the trows of exegetical papers and exams, but I'm just having a hard time understanding the thought behind it. It use to be so much more functional.

I'm going to ask that this be moved to its own thread so that it gets proper attention. Although it had already been done, problem reports rarely belong in the thread announcing a service release, especially if the problem is not something addressed by that release.

Thanks. I am pretty sure that this problem was caused by the release, but was not completely sure the best way to get it on F.L./Logos's radar. Thanks for this.

I've searched both the wiki and forums and find nothing that indicates that the lemma search format of <Lemma = lbs/el/ὑπομονή> in a Bible search has changed anytime recently. I suspect we need a search guru on this one. However, there is evidence the shortcut works in a morphological search: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/104448/722121.aspx#722121
I do notice that I'm not getting any glosses on the dropdown menu which is odd.
https://blog.logos.com/2014/09/logos-5-exploring-lemmas-with-the-same-root/ is a Morris Proctor blog on lemma/root search just prior to the release of L6 which is the closest screen shots I can find.

The lemma format in the morphological search works as you remember, I believe. Could you try it and see if it has the behavior you are expecting? I don't know that this has ever been available in the inline search.

In a Reverse Interlinear (e.g. ESV) select Morph and not Bible to get lemma suggestions and you can select δικαιοω to get a lemma search. In a Greek NT you can lemma suggestions in Bible search as well as Morph (I'm using v6.3 beta).

a) not necessary
b) not necessary. You'll always get the proper syntax starting from a Morph search or directly from a Bible search in a GNT with lemma:δικαιο.
If I haven't covered all your concerns please let me know.

M.J. and Dave win the day! I completely missed that drop down tab; thanks so much for taking the time to point it out. Indeed, the function I was missing is in the morph tab that you are pointing out. I thought it was so unlike Logos to make such functions more complicated. HUGE help you two! Many, many thanks for your time and grace in the matter.
Mea Culpa,
Chris
