More on Syntax
I am thankful for all of you who contribute to these forums. It is quite helpful. As i continue down this journey of learning how to do syntax searching, i do have another question. I was trying to construct a search on "baptizo" modified by the greek term "eis". I got back Romans 6:3, but i thought i would get also Galatians 3:27 or maybe 1 Cor. 12:13. What have i done wrong that is getting me one result? I was using the Lexham syntactic greek new testament. Thanks in advance.

It's difficult to explain, but basically you have to analyze the structure of missing references to see if they are the same and add them via OR if they are different.
Keep the search structure simple, so there is only one item (usually a clause) that contains the words/phrases of interest.
The second OR is for Gal 3:27.
The last OR gets 1 Cor 12:13 but I can't explain why!!

Thank you. Now did you have to choose "matching skips levels in this search"?

I also notice that on two of these searches you did not choose prepositional phrase. Was this on purpose or strategic?

I don't think it was necessary, but you can try that for yourself.
