Pronunciation Guide as I read the Bible - click on and get word said aloud?

With all the new features in 6.0 - I wonder if anyone knows please where a user might be reading along (say in 1st and 2nd Samuel) and come across a word in a group Bible study and just click on it so their tablet or phone actually says the word aloud for them?

Does this feature exist?  Wouldn't it be great not to stumble in a group Bible study and proceed on having utilized Logos in a great and God-honoring way?

What do you all suggest?  Is there a version of the Bible I should have open that does this automatically?

I wish to be double click on a word and the software says it aloud please.  I do not understand why I cannot right click on a word and have an option of having the sofware automatically say the word for me.  This would seem like a basic feature to me.

What a blessing that would be please.Smile

Thanks.

If you are working on a PC or Mac (I think its working for Mac) then simply right click the word, select Lemma, and you will see a pronunciation option.

I am not 100% positive, but I don't think Greek and Hebrew pronunciations are supported by the mobile apps right now. If and when that happens I would expect the device would need to be connected to the internet for it to work.

It is, but only via the Bible Word Study.

(Although I'm not sure Josh was talking about Greek/Hebrew. If you want English pronunciation that can be done from Factbook for many places/names, or you can use the LEB or ESV audio Bibles which are both free and both work on desktop or mobile.)

Also, the more recent edition of That's Easy For You To Say also provides a spoken pronunciation. It also provides that on Android (and presumably iOS). I'm not sure how universal that resource is, but my experience is that if I have it, just about everyone has it.

macOS (Logos Pro - Beta) | Android 13 (Logos Stable)

Thanks Mark. I did not know about the pronunciation tool in the mobile app

Thanks Mr. Barnes (Mark).  I tried to look up Joses in the Factbook for a pronunciation and there was no audio for it.  I still am praying that we can doubleclick on a word and here it pronounced in English....what a great tool that would be as we read along and stumble upon a word we do not know and want to say properly in a group setting, right?

Thanks for the ESV mention...I do have that though I find maneuvering within it a bit of a challenge still.  LEB I looked at but it seems to only have audi for the New Testament.

Several of the more obscure names are currently missing from Factbook. That's Easy For You To Say includes it, however.

If you prioritise That's Easy For You To Say as your most highly prioritised dictionary, you'll be able to double-click on names, then single click on the speaker icon to get a pronunciation.

The resource is also available on mobile devices, although it's a little more work to get to the correct place.

I have this resource but mysteriously it only permits me to pronounce one word and then refuses to allow me to choose the speaker button on any others.  I wish it worked better - or in this case - as expected on my Surface Pro Windows Tablet using 8.1 (sigh).  I am begging a developer to take pity on us and make it a double-click feature in the next iteration of Logos please.  Its an obvious enhancement to me.  I would be most grateful.

I would shout for joy if it could work on my Note 3 Android phone or my Samsung Galaxy S 8.4 Tablet...yay.

People would point to me and I could double-click on a word they are strugging with and (Glory to God) I would have it for them.  Think of it Mark.  Cool beans, right?

I and others have had this problem, too — but not recently. Logos haven't been able to reproduce it. Hopefully, yours will fix itself, too.
