Indeed, thank you, Paul! I should do a better job checking on daily deals, although not that I need an excuse to spend money. That said, I am grateful for sales that help fill gaps in my library.

I'm not much on AYB for OT, but the author's work is known to everyone who looks under the hood of Logos software.

Awesome! I just purchased three other AYB books that were on sale: Romans, and two volumes of Mark. I will get them all slowly but surely!

Hmmm, I now own 4 AYB resources but my dynamic pricing on the entire set is only $20 off. That doesn't seem right. EDIT: Never mind, the Logos Sales rep hadn't processed my other order yet.

So I guess if we buy books at a discount the dynamic price only reflects the discounted price? I thought I read somewhere that the full price of the resource would be discounted.

Tempting, but I have a sort of rule that I won't buy books that are discounted unless they cost less or the same amount as the discount I'd get if I bought the entire collection.  I'm rather curious about why the individual volumes seem to vary so much in price...?

So basically if you get discounted titles and then you decided to buy the whole set, you basically end up paying for the new titles and also pay the discounted amount from any previously discounted purchases?

I don't think that is how it works.

I thought I read somewhere that the full price of the resource would be discounted.

The "dynamic price" ≠ [Full Collection Price] - [Full Individual Title "Retail" Price]. The "dynamic" price gives you a percentage discount based on the resource's value within the collection.

    Youth Pastor Math: [:P]

    • Collection "A" has 10 books.
    • Each book within the collection "retails" at $15.
    • The ten books purchased individually would be $150
    • The "collection" price is $100.
    • If you purchased two books previously ($30), you will NOT get $30 off of $100.
    • You are more likely to get something like $20 off ($10 for each book... 10x10=$100)

In real life the packages are much more complicated than that. Rarely, for example, are all books in a collection going to be of the same value.

Ah, I see. Thanks. :-) I'm still thrilled that I've gotten four of the books at a discount, and two of them at half price.
