[resolved] Hebrew OT, Greek NT

Years ago I used to have serial resource associations established.  Do those still exist?

Right now I have a NASB95 window open, linked to a BHS window.  That's great until I go to a NT reference.  I'd like the BHS window to become a NA28 window and keep right along with the NASB.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about?  The tech support guy on the phone just now sure didn't.

There was a thread about it recently. I believe it's called serial resource associations or something.

I think that if you set the same "Series" property on each resource, it'll work the way you want it to -- with OT refs going one place and NT refs going to the other.

    Yes!  Thank you so much!

The "Series" field is buried way down in the Resource Information pane for each book.  I clicked on "Set series" and created two new series.

BHS/NA28 is my first, and LXX/MT is my second.

Now I have a spiffy workspace that I'm liking very much.  My English Bible in the top-right corner, and below that in the bottom-right corner is the BHS and LXX side by side (in an OT passage).  When I go to a NT passage the bottom windows become Nestle and Hodges Majority Text side by side.

    Perfect!  Thanks again!

The reason he could not help you is that tech support is for software malfunctions, not operational procedures.

This screenshot shows how I accomplished this. OL Bible stands for Original Language Bible.

If you are interested, I also linked NA28 with and LXX to produce a Greek Bible:

This user generated series option is a recent addition to Logos. I believe it was introduced with L6. Ben, the serial resource association was L3 terminology. This ability was lost in L4, and was brought back recently in a much better format.

I see Bob posted while I was compiling this. Together, we give you a very good explanation with illustrations [:D]

I've been using this since L5, though I don't remember whether it was included in 5.0 or added later. It doesn't feel like a recent addition to me. Off the top of my head I'd say it's been at least two years if not more, but my memory could be fooling me.[:)]
