I am using it for the first time today on this National Day of Prayer. It's a great tool and I like it a lot. I hope that Logos will always includes this feature in future versions of their Bible software. It's a keeper!

I think the chances this feature staying around are probably very good. It is possible we might even see some enhancements at some point in the future. Keep in mind that is just another users opinion.

This is one feature that I have not really used. Can you tell us how you are using it and what you appreciate most about it?

Hi Bruce. Today I just used it for keeping a list of the things I prayed for as if I had simply wrote them down on a piece of paper. However, it is obvious that there are more uses for it than that. The user has the option of listing the prayer requests as ' Scheduled ' or ' Unscheduled ' which enables the user to have full control over the range of dates in which each request will appear. I think Logos may provide reminder notifications on scheduled dates but I am not sure. All of mine which I added today were ' Unscheduled ' which means they will only appear on this particular list. I could have scheduled all of the same requests for next year on National Day of Prayer if I had chosen to do that but I will start a new list for 2016 instead. The prayer concerns in the list can be tagged which means the prayer lists are searchable, I assume. It appears that the list when opened in a resource window can be linked to other resource windows in the layout as well. I'm not sure if the ' Prayer Lists ' feature works with ' My Content ' in the Topic Guide or not. I hope it will. If I am not mistaken, prayer requests on the list or perhaps the entire list itself, may also be shared with others in Faithlife groups. I have not tried any of these things yet though. As I said I'm new at it and didn't get to experiment with it much today. I'm sorry that I cannot give you a better report, Bruce.

Thanks for taking time to respond William. I have often thought about using it but I have yet to find a way that works well for me.

    ~ If I may add a comment ...

I have been using it for roughly a week or so and I really like it a lot. I find that it really helps me to stay on track. There are times in life when we have just so much going on in our lives and as a result in our heads that it gets hard to stay focused. I have found that this feature really helps me stay on track.

I only wish there were a reset button/function such that if you wanted to pray through a list twice in the same day, it would be reset again. Sometimes I start to pray sometime before midnight and extend past into the next day. Without realizing I wind up checking off things for the next day.

    God Bless!

    Bruce,

I use it daily. While the feature is not without its shortcomings, there are two main reasons I use it.

    1. I can schedule different prayer requests daily, others weekly, and still others monthly. This helps me to stay organized and not be overwhelmed by seeing 1000 things to pray for each morning.

    2. Most importantly, I really like the "answered" column. My memory really isn't that good and my human tendency is to focus on the prayers of the moment. This causes me to unfortunately have a hard time recalling the many answered prayers of the past. In those moments during my prayers when the enemy whispers "What's the point? He never answers your prayers" it is very encouraging and motivating for me to scroll down to the answered column and see hundreds of prayers that He has answered that I had forgotten about.

    Just my two cents.

Thanks for weighing in on this with your opinion. I'm reconsidering using it now. For me I think that the biggest shortcoming is that it is not yet available in a mobile format. What are others you have noticed?

The Faithlife Groups app (not the Faithlife Study Bible app) has "prayers." I haven't used the feature on either platform, so I can't speak to feature compatibilities.

I completely agree. This too is my biggest frustration.
