In some windows Syriac text is not displayed (see image).
I'm running Windows 10 Preview Build 10074.
I am not able to reproduce this on Windows 8.1 in 6.3 Beta 5. Are you seeing the same behavior with Hebrew font? Can you please post a screenshot of your 'Text Display' section in Program Settings panel so I can see what font you are using?
I'm guessing that it's a specific issue with Windows 10 which we do not support yet since it's in Preview (beta).
Shalom Angela!

I had already tried several different Syriac fonts before posting. Hebrew, Greek and Coptic are displayed properly.

I think you're right. Thank you trying to reproduce this.
For me it is mostly working properly, but not perfectly (I am on Verbum 6.3 Beta 5, with Windows 8.1).
On the right click menu and the Text Comparison menu, I am always seeing Estrangelo Edessa font, regardless of what Syriac font I choose (I do normally prefer that font, but it should change with my font selection, especially if I choose a Serto font).
In resources, like the Leiden Peshitta, I see whatever font I choose, it's only the right click menu and Text Comparison where I see a problem (the same places where H.-J. sees boxes).
Here's an image of this happening:

Looks like Windows 10 installs different Syriac fonts. I'll make a case to get those fonts added. Thanks for letting us know about this bug ! [:)]
There's an active case for this issue. I'll add the link to this forum post to the case so that we update you once it is fixed. [:)]

The latest Windows 10 build changed my font settings, but now I have everything back to normal (including the bug Fr Devin Roza mentioned) [:)]
