Vyrso 4.6.0: Why no version info for Beta from Play Store?

I thought I'd update Vyrso from Play Store. When I checked, however, it was v4.6.0 which appears to be a Beta. There was no warning/message/caption to say what version. Similarly for the Bible app which I installed shortly after, but that is v4.5.0. Why the difference?

Note that I got the msg "Cannot copy files to SD card" after Vyrso updated.

Android 4.1.2 on Samsung Galaxy Express.

What channel are you using in Bible and Vyrso? The Beta channel will currently update to 4.6.0, but the Stable channel will update to 4.5.0.

In which app? Could you post a screenshot of the bottom of the Help panel of both apps?

There is a "Report a Problem" link in the Help panel - this sends us device logs. Are you able to navigate there in Vyrso?

I uninstalled Bible app after the problem with Vyrso came good.

Both from Play Store.

Faithlife apps installed from the Google Play store don't have the option to change the channel to/from beta, stable, etc.

The current 4.6.0 build 422 version is the stable version. There hasn't yet been uploaded a beta version that is more recent than build 422.

I thought 4.6.0 was beta because there isn't a thread for the Release of 4.6.0 (and I probably would have been just as confused if I had checked that Beta 1 was build 421).

I guess the reason I got Bible 4.5.0 was that I hadn't signed up as a beta tester for that app, but I would have got 4.6.0 Beta 1 of Vyrso on May 4? Were there any changes between 421 and 422? Was an installation necessary to go from one to the other (dated May 18)?

4.6.0 *was* the beta version, it is now the stable version.

No, aside from the apk number.

Yes, this will always be the case if the build number is different.

Was the log useful?

No, unfortunately. There have been widespread reports of Samsung's version of Android 4.1.2 not allowing many apps (ours included) access to the SD card but we've been unable to reproduce it in house.
