[resolved] Bug Beta 4: Couldn't Unhide NIV without a restart

I was able to hide two resources without a restart but nothing happened when I unhid the NIV 2011 bible (it was removed from the Hidden Resources list). I restarted Logos to no effect.

The command update resources caused the NIV to download and index OK, but two 'unknown' resources were also downloaded - LLS:HIDEFCOM71PHP & LLS:LBG01GE01, but not indexed. The first is found in Library Catalog but not the second. Both are in Updates.db with Status 0.

    LLS:HIDEFCOM71PHP & LLS:LBG01GE01

Those would be the High Definition Commentary Philippians and the Lexham Bible Guide Genesis, which (according to Phil Gons) were/are temporarily part of Logos Now for those who don't own them.

I am unable to recreate this problem, and unfortunately there isn't enough information in the log to determine what went wrong. Did you have a download window (start/stop time) specified in your settings?

I've added some additional logging for the next release to make this easier to track down.

There is an open case for this issue. I will add a link to this thread.

The logs only show the recovery of the NIV after restarting and losing the log that shows the unhide. I'll recreate the unhide in the next release.

But I'm back with my default no auto-download.

Here are the logs from the attempt to unhide NA27 GRAMCORD - a download was already waiting but it wasn't in that nor was it downloaded after a restart.

Log from RC1 for attempt to unhide NIV 2011 with NO auto-download.

Update now does not work - only Update resources.

Thanks, Dave. I've tracked down the problem, and the fix should go out in an upcoming release.

I'm not certain yet exactly which release this will go in. I do not believe it will be in SR-1.

This did in fact make it into SR-1, which has now shipped.
