Some of my notes have 2 marks for the same note. Does anyone know why that is the case?1563.duplicate note markers.tiff

There can be different reasons for this. Your screen shot isnt very informative. Are you sure the markers are for the same note? Sometimes a "duplicate" marker appears because of the range of verses the note was attached to and/or the versification system of the given resource. A casual glance of your screen shot didn't provide anything useful to me.
When trying to show screen shots, please attach it via the paperclip icon. I notice that you are using a Mac... unless you have changed the default behavior, you should not need any snipping tool. Just use the normal mac screen capture commands (command-shift-3 OR 4). That should produce a .png. If you choose to use another method of screen shots, make sure to use either a .png or .jpg.

Wow...all this time I've been using the grab utility. I did us the paperclip icon. I'm sure the markers are for the same note. I do not have duplicate notes. They are both attached to 1 Pet 1.

How did you create the note? If you create a new note by the same method, do you gain an additional duplicate note? What does it look like in other translations?

How many Notes files are shown by the Visual filters icon? If you turn them off does it affect the markers you see?

That note was written 4 years ago, so not sure about the how, but it only is duplicated in the KJV. Other versions only have one marker.

Turning the visual filters off and on doesn't seem to correct the issue.

Welcome to the forum, Donniel
The new multi-verse note feature has allowed me to attach a note to several verses, which has resulted in multiple notes for a given verse. Also, I make several kinds of notes, distinguished by the color/shape of the note marker that also resulted in multiple notes for a given verse.
When you open each of your duplicate notes, are they identical, or are they just different notes for the same verse?
Do your duplicate notes have the same date?
1. In your notes panel, hover your mouse cursor over the icon at the right end of the note.
2. A date should appear.
If the dates differ, look for a pattern (all "second" notes were created the same day), there might have been a glitch where all your notes were duplicated by the same event.True duplicates will take a lot of work to delete, one at a time.

IIRC in Logos 4 there was a bug that duplicated notes for which Faithlife provided a fix. If there are a lot of duplicates and they appear to be in that timeframe, we can look for the precise link.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The problem, however, is that there is only a single note, but multiple note indicators. I am not fully convinced that it IS the same note, however. The OP said it only shows a single note indicator in other bibles... I am guessing there is an extra note there... but without more screen shots, it is hard to tell. If there isnt a second note, I would guess it is a resource specific issue... and that we could reproduce the issue. Right?

I can verify this issue and have created a bug report HERE. The issue <appears> to be limited to:
- The KJV (rather than the ESV or the other translations I checked)
- A note added to a chapter, rather than a verse: (notice the reference is 1 Pt 1, not 1 Pt 1:1)
EDIT: I linked to the specific translation.

It is specific to KJV. I get a double indicator when I attach a note by reference to Gen 14 or 1 Pe 1, but it is single in other bibles. Note that right clicking the chapter number produces a chapter reference in KJV and a verse reference in ESV.
The double indicator occurs only when creating the note in the KJV. If you then create a note by ref in ESV (for 14:1) you get the triple indicator in KJV.
EDIT: I also get the same double indicator/ref. anomaly in the REB and it propagates to the KJV.
NOTE: just saw 'bama's reproduction
