Anyone have any idea what to expect?
Yes it is wrong. I got a bounced email notification until I found the correct address.
I don't think this was supposed to be a treasure hunt for the correct email. C'mon Faithlife, you have blown this one comepletely!
Here's what you post:
But when you click on that link the email address it inserts is:
And this is what happens:
Any prize for 'first correct answer' has been invalided your bungle.

Yeah, that doesn't really work when the email doesn't work. How many people will try to play and in the end feel frustrated by this?
This is all I got when I subscribed:
Since I don't want to use the default email client in WIN 8. I typed in the full address rather than click on it. It seemed to go through. I agree that QA was a little lax.
The fourth clue seems tricky.
For me, the fourth clue didn't show up properly at first, but repeated the third clue...
That is the one I've had trouble with.
Let me buck the trend here and thank Bob and FL for a little fun (and I don't need the Gold). I wouldn't mind if we'd give them a little grace regarding the erroneous mailto: link. [:)]
James,
Apologies that the correct email address was not being filled in when you clicked on the link. It has been fixed and should be working correctly now.
Leah, how will Faithlife handle the issue of 'first correct answer' submitted? Dating from before the correction of the address or after?
How are you getting multiple clues? Mine just sent me to a download link for Sproul Crucial questions series, no more emails after that. [^o)]
EDIT - I am dumb. [U]
I supposedly have all the clues but I am no closer to figuring this out. Sadly, I don't have time for this..... [:(]
This whole thing is kinda bogus if the first email has NO WORKING BUTTONS. Every button gives the same dead end trapped page.
Edit: Correction. You just don't like most MAC email clients...
The second rule states "starting May 18 clues will be revealed, each clue has a hidden word that must be found. When you think you have found the word, write it down, then click the image to move on to the next page that has a clue" but since that is bogus and there is no actual image to click on to guide you to the next clue, the email address shown apparently was bogus as some of these posts suggest, and i just got off the phone with support who "cannot help with the treasure hunt" then what is one supposed to do? Is this contest even fair at this point? Makes me hesitant to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars for that kind of run around?
**edit- so i emailed the treasure hunt email address, they just sent me a customer service survey?? Maybe it came from the failed call that I made to them? Regardless they didn't get a good score.
You know it would have been nice if they had the verse available on the FB page when the contest started, I would have gotten this a LOT sooner. Poor contest all around start to finish.
What they should have done is have everyone figure out what the phrase was through the clues and then let everyone send it off.

The fun is figuring it out. It's a puzzle. And they actually did a pretty good job of it. A few hangup in getting it working, but a great idea. I hope they do it again.

Perhaps I should clear up my view of the contest because I know that I have been extremely negative.
I do want to say I appreciate Faithlife for doing this because they definitely do not have to at all! I appreciate the opportunity to win some amazing resources! I found out about this over the weekend and was looking forward to it. The contest was fun but the execution could have been better.
Hey David,
Sorry for any frustration this caused you if you could be more specific about what could have been executed better that would be great. I am aware of the following issues:
The email on the last clue being wrong.
There being a delay in the 2nd clue showing up.
Please help us make this better if we decide to do it in the future by letting us know what specifically was bad about the experience.

I'm still awaiting my email about the next clue...maybe someone from Logos can send it to me directly.
I would like to see them do it again as well. However, I would like it to be a puzzle that takes more than 10 minutes to solve.
I'm still awaiting my email about the next clue...maybe someone from Logos can send it to me directly. Did you get the first clue emailed? Only one clue actually comes in email.
I did not. And not for want of trying.

I also unable to get the email from my email address associated with my account. I had to use a different address.
It's the Macheist model.

I had to use a second email addy. The links on the first email Logos sent did not work for me either. Every button failed. The second email sent to a gmail account had working links. I was about to give up until I read your post. I was able to complete the puzzle then.
My experience would be better if Canadians could participate/benefit from this exercise.
Does that mean you give them a grade of an 'Eh' Minus? [:P]

Yes, because I'm nice like that. [;)]

(sorry you can't participate [:s])
Rimshot!!
I am in solidarity with the Canadians. I, too, am learning to "eh!"

Email on the last clue? I must be missing something. I have only received one email, at the beginning.

Steve,
The email on the last clue he is referring to is an email address that you submit your answer to, not an email you will receive in your inbox with a clue. You should have only received the one clue in your email the rest of the clues are found on the website.
I received something today in my email to sign up for this, but it seems that only people in the U.S. are eligible. If that is so, this is quite ridiculous!
No missionaries need apply.
I still have not received an email.
Unless you are a missionary in or to the US of A!
Suppose some non US resident would set up a dummy corporation in Delaware or so - would they be allowed to participate with their corporate address?
If 100 non US residents would jointly set up a dummy corporation in Delaware - would they all be allowed to participate?
What a joke- all I get is wall is falling down- nothing else- is this the release of Logos 7?

Try using a different email client. I had had to actually log into remote iCloud to get mine to work.
Once we submitted the answer, will we be notified that we had the right answer? I guess I am a bit worried, since I did it on the first day and never heard anything.
Whyndell
They may have changed it because thats a different answer than what I got.
Whyndell,
What email client are you using (gmail, outlook, etc.)? I apologize that the email isn't working for you. I will look into it. Also, for now, you can try this link.
Kristen
Charlene,
Winners will be notified and prizes delivered on June 1. This information is located in the "Official Rules" section of the Treasure Hunt landing page (section 6).
I just want to publicly thank Faithlife/Logos for having this treasure hunt. It was fun and exciting. A different type of contest is good for a nice change of pace. [:)]
