Hermeneia Psalms volume 1

Does anyone know what the word is on that one? The product description on the Logos website says the writing of the volume was planned to follow volumes 2 and 3, but it has been a while and I have not found any specific planned release date. Makes me wonder if the author has renounced writing it or what's going on.
Anybody knows?

On the website of Herder (the German publisher) it says that volume 1 is still in preparation: Herders Theologischer Kommentar zum Alten Testament
After the death of Erich Zenger (2010) this volume will be written by Frank-Lothar Hossfeld and Johannes Schnocks.

Are Hermeneia and Herder's Theologischer Kommentar Reihe.one and the same? Or did I get this wrong? Confused..

Shalom Shumitinu!
These two commentary series are not one and the same, but Hermeneia does include several volumes that were first published in German in HThKAT, such as these volumes on Psalms.
This is not unusual. If you look at the Continental Commentary Series you will find several volumes that were first published in the Biblischer Kommentar zum Alten Testament (e.g. Westermann, Kraus, Wolff). Some volumes in the Old Testament Library Series are translations from Das Alte Testament Deutsch (e.g. Von Rad, Noth).

Thanks! I wasn't aware of that. Sometimes I'm looking for German equivalent commentaries and don't find any. So this is good to know. Do you know whether the two German works you mention have been suggested in the German forum at all?

I know that HThKAT, HThKNT, ATD and NTD have been suggested by ilian. It is rather remarkable that BC has been suggested but not BK. Although other critical commentaries, such as HK, KAT, HAT, HNT, and KEK, also have not been suggested (yet). TRE has been suggested so hopefully one day we will be able to check the abbrevations in the Abkürzungsverzeichnis.
