I was updated to 6.3.0.0038 - and it has been acknowledged that the 'replace with passages' service no longer works. Is it possible to revert to an earlier release until this gets fixed? Please.

most of the time, it is not possible to revert without a fresh install. I believe this issue will be fixed with a future service release.
Bummer :-( And apparently there is no telling when this will be addressed. I hate upgrades that break working things!
I <think> FL said that it was fixed internally and would be in SR1. I have no idea when that might be pushed.
I use it all day long in writing... so it can not come too soon. Really makes a change in the work practice :-(

Same thing happened to me several days ago. I encourage those who use "replace with passage" to try it occasionally to see if it starts working.
I'm having the same problem. I called technical support and was told that the Replace with Passage feature is not something that FL guarantees. It is a kind of bonus feature. I'm a bit disappointed of course because I use this feature a lot. So FL will turn this into an official feature of Logos and new updates won’t break it again.
If I recall correctly, it was Microsoft that deprecated this feature in Word making it difficult for FL to guarantee its continued functioning.

I don't know if that's the case or not, however, the "Replace with Passage" has also stopped working in Pages which is an Apple application and not Microsoft. I suspect the problem is with the Logos 6.3 update. Both Microsoft Mac Word and Pages use the "Services" menu in OS X in order to provide the "Replace with Passage" or "Copy Bible Verses" service. Someone at Logos needs to take a look at this.

Reverting back to 6.2 is possible if you have been making regular Time Machine backups. I'm not going to revert back because I can always use copy and paste the old fashioned way until Logos fixes it with a SR. I'm glad I got ahead of schedule this week and have my Memorial Day service sermon ready. [:D]
